John Pearce -Piano
John has worked with a variety of bands & orchestras such as Bob Farnon, Billy May, Jack Parnell, Don Lusher, the BBC Radio Orchestra and is currently with the James Last Orchestra. Although based in England, John has had residences abroad and cruises around the World, the QEII's maiden voyage was John's first adventure on the high seas. During 1975-1985 he was a regular member of the Ray Ellington Quartet. The work involved with this group included residences at top London venues and a
variety of radio & television broadcasts.

John is a regular at venues like Ronnie Scotts', Pizza Express Jazz Club in Dean St., Pizza on the Park, the Albert Hall, the Festival Hall, the Barbican in London as well as appearances in venues across the world, including a tour of the Blue Note Clubs in Japan. John has accompanied many named artists including Peggy Lee, Anita O'Day, Mark Murphy, Eddie Daniels, Elaine Delmar, Scott Hamilton, Art Farmer, Annie Ross, Salena Jones, Woody Shaw, Clifford Jordan, Conte Candoli and Ken Peplowski.

Simon Woolf -Bass
A founder member of the Andy Panayi Quartet, Simon's distinguished career has included stints with Bobby Wellins, Bill Le Sage, Dave Cliff and John Critchinson. As well as working with Panayi's quartet and leading his own groups (in which he also plays piano and sings) Simon is a regular member of bands led by pianist Peter Jacobson and alto saxophonist Geoff Simkins. Frequently called upon to accompany visiting American and European artists, he has recently been heard with cornetist Ruby Braff and singer Weslia Whitfield.

Recordings include a trio with Harry Allen and Howard Alden and an appearance on Steve Melling's recent release. He also arranges and composes and has three originals including the title track on "Blown Away" the Andy Panayi Quartet CD on the Jazz House Label. Simon also plays the sousaphone, teaches jazz bass at both Trinity and Royal Colleges of Music and is a regular contributor to 'Double bassist' magazine.
